How ScanTrader collects, uses, protects, and handles information across the website, account system, chart uploads, analytics, and support.

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how ScanTrader collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you visit our website, create an account, upload chart screenshots, use our analysis tools, contact support, or interact with our services.

ScanTrader is designed to help users understand chart screenshots and trading setups more clearly. We collect only the information needed to operate the platform, improve the product, secure accounts, communicate with users, and provide a better experience.

By using ScanTrader, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, you should not use the service.

  • Account information, such as your name, email address, profile image, login provider, and account identifiers.
  • Authentication information from login providers, such as Google OAuth profile details needed to create and secure your account.
  • Usage information, such as pages visited, buttons clicked, scan activity, feature usage, browser type, device type, referral source, and general analytics events.
  • Chart screenshots and scan inputs you choose to upload, including the image itself and any related settings like timeframe, ticker, account size, risk percentage, or goal profit if entered.
  • Generated analysis outputs, including detected ticker, possible entry areas, stop loss, targets, risk/reward, trade direction, missing data flags, and scan results.

  • Technical information, such as IP address, browser version, operating system, device identifiers, cookies, session data, and server logs.
  • Payment-related information if paid plans are offered, such as subscription status, billing email, plan type, transaction identifiers, and payment processor records. We do not store full credit card numbers on our own servers.

3. How we use information

We use collected information to provide, maintain, secure, and improve ScanTrader. We do not use your data to make real trades for you, manage your brokerage account, or provide personalized financial advice.

4. Chart screenshots and scan data

When you upload a chart screenshot, ScanTrader may process that image and related scan data to generate an analysis. Uploaded images may contain visible chart information, ticker symbols, watchlists, platform UI, notes, or other details included in the screenshot.

You should avoid uploading screenshots that contain sensitive personal information, brokerage account balances, full names, account numbers, private messages, API keys, passwords, or other confidential data.

We may store scan records, metadata, and analysis outputs to improve account history, product performance, abuse prevention, and platform reliability. If we use scan data to improve the service, we aim to limit unnecessary personal information where practical.

5. Cookies and analytics

ScanTrader may use cookies, local storage, session storage, analytics tools, and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember preferences, measure performance, understand traffic, and improve the platform.

Analytics tools may collect information such as pages viewed, device type, approximate location, browser type, referral source, and interaction events. These tools help us understand what is working, what is confusing, and where the product can be improved.

You can often control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect login, account functionality, analytics, or parts of the service.
