Risk Disclosure

Last updated on July 15, 2026

You must read and accept this disclosure before purchasing a Scantrader subscription.

1. About this disclosure

This Risk Disclosure applies to your purchase and use of Scantrader, including chart scans, generated trade breakdowns, educational content, and any related features. It is separate from, and in addition to, the Scantrader Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Compliance page.

You must read and accept this disclosure before purchasing a Scantrader subscription.

2. Scantrader is not your broker, adviser, or fiduciary

Scantrader is a software tool. We are not a broker, dealer, investment adviser, financial adviser, portfolio manager, fund, custodian, exchange, signal service, or fiduciary. We do not owe you any duty of care, loyalty, best execution, or suitability.

Nothing in the product — including entries, stop losses, targets, risk/reward figures, options-style context, or plain-language explanations — is personalized investment, legal, tax, or accounting advice. All outputs are educational and informational only.

3. Every decision is yours

Scantrader does not place trades, connect to your brokerage, hold funds, or act on your behalf. You choose whether to trade, what to trade, when to enter or exit, how much to risk, and which broker or platform to use.

Scantrader analyzes the chart screenshot you provide. It does not select trades for you, and displaying a setup is not a recommendation to take it.

4. The analysis can be wrong

Scantrader uses automated systems, trained models, and technical analysis methods. These systems can misread a chart, misidentify a ticker or timeframe, miss key levels, ignore news and events, work from stale or incomplete information, or produce analysis that does not match live market conditions.

Screenshots capture a moment in time. By the time you act, price, spread, liquidity, and context may have changed. Always verify analysis against live data and your own research before making any decision.

5. You can lose money, including everything you risk

Trading stocks, options, ETFs, futures, crypto, and other financial products involves substantial risk. You can lose some or all of the money you put at risk. Options in particular can expire worthless, resulting in the total loss of the premium paid, and selling options can involve additional and sometimes unlimited risk.

Do not trade money you cannot afford to lose in full.

No profit guarantee

Scantrader does not guarantee profits, win rates, accuracy, or market success — for any user, on any setup, ever.

6. Past performance does not predict future results

Any historical statistics, backtested results, win rates, examples, demonstrations, or testimonials shown by Scantrader describe the past, not the future. Backtested and historical performance has inherent limitations: real-world results differ because of slippage, spreads, commissions, liquidity, execution timing, and your own decisions.

Individual results vary widely. Other users' outcomes — good or bad — say nothing about what your outcomes will be.

7. Simulated and demonstration content

Certain examples, scan results, trade breakdowns, statistics, win rates, performance figures, testimonials, screenshots, and other illustrative content shown by Scantrader — including in marketing, onboarding, and previews — may be simulated, hypothetical, representative, or created for demonstration, UI, testing, educational, or marketing purposes.

Such content should not be interpreted as actual customer results, verified profitability, or live trading outcomes. Actual trading results vary significantly and may include losses.

8. You are responsible for every trade

Every trade you place is your trade, made in your name, through your own broker, with your own money. You are solely responsible for the outcomes, the taxes, and compliance with the laws, regulations, and broker terms that apply in your jurisdiction.

Except where required by law, Scantrader has no liability for any trade, loss, missed opportunity, incorrect analysis, or any other consequence of decisions you make while using the service.

9. Acceptance

By completing a purchase at checkout, where this disclosure is linked next to the purchase button, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted this Risk Disclosure, that you understand Scantrader is an educational analysis tool and not a financial adviser, and that you accept full responsibility for your own trading decisions.

You voluntarily assume all risk associated with trading and release Scantrader from liability to the fullest extent permitted under applicable law. Trade at your own risk.
